Think Liverpool and you immediately think The Beatles. The Fab Four are the city's most famous offspring.
No trip to Liverpool is complete without a trip to the Beatles Story at Albert Dock, a brilliant tour through The Beatles’ lives, with fascinating memorabilia and insights from friends and family. You should also pop in to the Cavern Club on Matthew Street, the most famous club in the world, for a lunchtime beer or some live music in the evening.
Liverpool is a very easy city to travel in and out of and allows you the opportunity to combine a city break with a golfing break.
Although we can tailor packages to suit your personal preferences, we'd like to suggest:
During his 2006 Open win Tiger Woods only hit driver once at Royal Liverpool, instead relying on imperious iron play to propel him to a winning total of 270 to retain his title of Champion Golfer of the Year; the first to do so since Tom Watson in 1983. We can't say that you won't be tempted to reach for the big stick but this is links golf at it's most challenging. After golf, check into the wonderful Malmaison, Liverpool for 2 nights.
Famously home of the 'Stableford' format, Wallasey Golf Club was designed by Old Tom Morris in 1891. The stunning dunes make for a real test golf and some amazing views as you thread your way through them.
Although West Lancashire doesn't attract the attention that it's 'Royal' neighbours do, this is a truly amazing golf course in the classic links style. It's 2 loops of nine mean you have to be on your toes when it comes to wind direction. A wonderful test.
